AP Calculus AB and BC

This course is a college level calculus course that covers the material taught in the first
semester of college calculus and outlined by the College Board. The topics include functions, graphs, limits, derivatives, and integrals.
The recommended prerequisites for this class are
Completion of topics covered through Math Analysis
Honors, preferably with grades of A’s or B’s. A strong background in algebra and trigonometry is essential.
Students need good attendance, strong work ethics, perseverance, and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
- How many hours of homework are given per week? Approximately 5 hours.
- How often are we tested? Usually 1 test and several quizzes per chapter, one final exam each semester.
- How often do we write an essay? Never, but students will be required to write justifications for problem solutions. One project is assigned in the spring.
