Mission Statement To provide a safe, neutral space on campus where students can openly share and work through conflicts.
What Are We? We are a conflict resolution class dedicated to using communication skills to help students find solutions to any problem. All sessions are voluntary and confidential, and we focus on the emotional core of a conflict rather than assigning blame for its causes and effects.
What Events Do We Hold? We host holiday movie nights around Halloween and Christmas, along with our school-famous "Tunnel" — an interactive experience that explores mental health topics relevant to teens in today's world.
What Do We Support? We support mental health in all its forms through fundraisers, outreach, and events like the Tunnel. We raise awareness around bullying and substance abuse while promoting compromise and healthy negotiation. Our goal is for everyone to walk away from a conflict feeling heard, satisfied, and inspired.
How Do Mediations Work? We offer two types of mediation:
- Internal Mediation: Two mediators meet with a single student in a controlled, safe environment. The student voluntarily shares what's on their mind, and mediators respond with neutral, thoughtful guidance.
- External Mediation: For conflicts involving two or more students, two mediators are assigned per person involved. Together, they help guide all parties toward a solution everyone can agree on.
